MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS & DUES:
Active Member: - Sponsored by a member in good standing. Submitted a completed application form to the Executive Board via the Membership Chairman
- Submitted samples of original art work (1 of which was completed in the past 12 months) to the Executive Board. Copied or derived work is unacceptable
- Approved for active membership by a two-thirds vote by ballot of the Executive Board
- Pays annual dues before participating in League sponsored shows
- Participates in two League sponsored art shows per year
- May serve on the Executive Board
- May serve on committees
- May participate in social functions, programs and trips
- Expected to attend the annual business meeting in May
- Receives the JRAL newsletter
Inactive Member:
- Has been an active member in good standing for at least two years
- Submits reason to change status to inactive in writing to the Executive Board
- Not required to exhibit in art shows
- Encouraged to attend League functions and can sponsor new members
- May not vote or hold office
- Required to pay annual dues
- May return to active, exhibiting membership at any time without re-applying by letter of request to JRAL President
- Receives the JRAL newsletter
- Remains on the JRAL roster
Honorary Member:
- Selected by the Executive Board and voted on by the membership for outstanding contribution to the JRAL
- Not assessed annual dues
- May not vote or hold office
- Receives the JRAL newsletter
- On the JRAL roster
Patron Member:
- Patrons are non-exhibiting, non-voting members
- Must be sponsored by a member in good standing, completing a membership application form
- Pays annual dues
- May not hold executive office
- May participate in all League activities
- Receives the JRAL newsletter
- On the JRAL roster
- May become an Active Member by fulfillment of an Active Member obligations
Charter Member:
- Those on the membership roll of JRAL as of 15 March 1965
- Honorary membership status
- May or may not be an Active Member
Dues:
- Annual dues $30.00
- Payable in September
- Members accepted into the League in the last 6 months – assessed one half annual dues
